Accord Development Initiative recently organized a capacity development training focused on social cohesion and conflict mediation. The training brought together participants from host communities, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and returnees. Its primary goal was to enhance community capacity for conflict prevention and resolution through comprehensive knowledge exchange and skills development—placing particular emphasis on fostering peaceful coexistence, rebuilding trust, and strengthening social bonds among the diverse groups. The training created an inclusive and participatory learning environment, encouraging attendees to share their lived experiences, critically reflect on local conflict drivers, and explore context-specific peacebuilding strategies.
